Helping National Museums Liverpool with Google Analytics

We are delighted to announce that Fresh Egg has been chosen by National Museums Liverpool as its analytics partner.
Over the next few months, our analytics and data services team will be helping National Museums Liverpool undertake a thorough review of its Google Analytics implementation.
National Museums Liverpool consists of eight museums and art galleries in and around Liverpool and is England's only national museum group outside of London. As well as holding a collection of over four million objects and works of art, the group holds courses, lectures and events, and provides educational workshops and activities for school children, young people and adults.
The world, and the way people engage with us, has changed dramatically over the last year. We need to work harder than ever to understand our online users to connect with them at a time when it’s needed most. We’re delighted to begin working with Fresh Egg, who will help us channel our data into a meaningful, and memorable, experience for our users.

The object of the partnership will be to provide the charity’s in-house digital team with a comprehensive summary of required fixes and optimisations as we undertake a full health check of the current Google Analytics set-up. We will then be working with them to establish exactly what aspects need to be implemented and measured moving forwards.
The final output will be an optimal set-up of Google Analytics, providing National Museums Liverpool with an accurate view of website performance and the ability to understand what activity is driving return.
We’re looking forward to working closely alongside Scott Smith, Head of Digital, and the rest of the team at National Museums Liverpool to provide them with a solid data platform and enable the organisation to understand what is happening across its digital estate. The Museum and heritage sector has been significantly impacted by the 2020 Covid-19 crisis and digital - for information, collection digitisation, booking management, and more – has never been more important.
